River of Life Fellowship is a church that birthed out of the fires of revival that have been burning through Fire and Ice Ministries of Dallas. Fire and Ice Ministries was started as Pastor Scott Boyd felt a great burden for street evangelism, bringing people into the manifest presence of God, seeing a move of the Holy Spirit, and the desperate need for prayer and intercession for our nation. The heart of this ministry is the winning of the lost, discipling the nations, Intercession, and revival. We desperately need a move of the Holy Spirit in these last days. River of Life was started to create a church that saw the supernatural as a part of everyday Christian living. It is common place for someone sick to come in and leave healed. It is common for someone demonized to come to us for help and be totally delivered. It is common place to see people get into the manifest presence of the Lord and have encounters with God that forever change them. In saying these things, we realize that we are nothing, but at the same time we are making room for a move of God and stepping out of the way so that the Holy Spirit can have his way to change lives and bring glory to Jesus. Our emphasis in ministry is Ephesians 4:11-16.
Pastor Scott feels a strong call to also help people get free from whatever is hindering them from moving into the fullness of the freedom, victory, and dominion Jesus paid for them to have on the cross. There seems to be a unique anointing on Scott and Sandy Boyd at seeing people freed up so that they can move into all God has called them to. This is partly because both of them were at one time in bondage to satan's kingdom, but since they have been set free they have had a heart to see others set free. Scott Boyd has written books that pertain to spiritual warfare, deliverance, and revival. As Pastor Scott says, "Let's tear down every satanic stronghold and press into this end-time anointing."
In a very practical sense, River of Life has a strong emphasis on ministering to Children and Youth. River of Life also has discipleship in place for all age groups that will help everyone grow in Christ. We are praying to be a part of seeing the people of the nations discipled, equipped, and empowered into their destinies in Christ. There is a strong teaching ministry within River of Life as well that helps people learn how to live out the word of God in their everyday lives.
We are temporarily meeting at: 335 Countyline Road Rockwall, Texas 75087 on Saturday nights at 6PM. The last Saturday of the month we are having cell groups. Sandy Boyd is the Children's Pastor and has an incredible ability to teach children the word of God. She also is an anointed intercessor and helps in almost all aspects of the church. She is involved in too many things to list here, but she is a very vital part of this ministry.
Joey and Ashlie Stanbery are assets to this ministry. Joey and Ashlie are the youth pastors of Ignite Youth Ministries . They also oversee all evangelism. Currently Joey leads a team of street evangelists biweekly in hard core street evangelism. Many are giving their lives to Christ on a consistent basis. They also have a powerful ministry of Praise and Worship together and leading prayer meetings.. Ashlie is a very anointed praise and worship leader and also helps some with the children's ministry. Joey is also an Elder that oversees all ministry to the younger generation from children to young married couples. His eldership also invovles all forms of evangelism and outreach. They are also cell leaders as the need arises.
Gene and Diane Boyd are also great assets to this ministry. Gene Boyd serves as an Elder of the church. Diane Boyd is a powerful intercessor. They lead a Cell Group and are powerful ministers of the word. Their wisdom and leadership is a very powerful and important part of this ministry.
Zach and Wendy Jones are also great assets and leaders of this ministry. Zach has a very powerful gift of teaching and is an Elder of this ministry that oversees all discipleship. They are currently overseeing the Cell Group ministry, discipling of young believers, and various classes taught throughout the ministry. Wendy is a prayer warrior and flows powerfully in the prophetic. They are a poweful team that operate powerfully in the anointing.
Jill is our head intercessor. This ministry puts a large emphasis on Prayer, Evangelism, and Discipleship. We realize that without prayer and fasting any ministry would not be as effective as it could be. Jill has a very powerful intercessory calling. Her contribution to this ministry is very valuable. She helps lead prayer in various aspects. Currently we have a ministry called Watchmen that incorporates individual prayer and fasting throughout the church. This ministry has resulted in prayer and fasting going up in unity everyday of the week as volunteers cover a day of the week. Also we meet weekly on Tuesday night in Deep Ellum to hold corporate prayer meetings. Every Saturday before service doors are open and all our prayer warriors come early to service to intercede.
